Q. Can I become a certified and licensed EMT in Connecticut if I pass the EMT & Fire Training EMT B Course?
A. Yes. Even though the state of Connecticut has it’s own training and testing for EMT’s, they will accept any EMT for licensure who has an NREMT certificate. Our EMT-B course is an approved NREMT course. Once you complete our course and pass both your practical and cognitive NREMT exams, then you can apply for licensure in your state.

A. No.
Q. How do I recertify for EMS in the State of Connecticut?
A. To recertify for EMS in the State of Connecticut, the applicant will need to complete an approved refresher-training course within one year of the expiration date of the certificate. The refresher must include both the written and practical testing. We offer the 24-hour refresher course, which includes 10 hours of self-directed learning, and 14 hours of Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) sessions where a real instructor is present to answer questions and discuss the topics. It is fully accepted by the NREMT and is CECBEMS accredited. This is only one of the few online refreshers that meet the actual requirements by the NREMT to be counted as an official refresher. You have 2 years to complete the refresher from the time you sign up (or you can usually get it done in as little as 2 to 3 weeks). The cost of the refresher is $249.
