Maine EMS utilizes the National Registry of EMTs practical and cognitive exams for Certification. EMT & Fire Training offers an EMT-Basic and Intermediate 85 course. When you complete the course and successfully pass the NREMT practical and cognitive exam, you will hold a National Registry Certification.

As a part of the EMT-Basic and EMT-Intermediate you get full access to our test prep site to help you study for the NREMT exams at no extra cost. http://www.emt-national-training.com/

To maintain a current NREMT certification, use EMT & Fire Training for your Refresher hours. Our refresher is 24 hours, and includes 10 hours of self-directed learning, and 14 hours of Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) sessions where a real instructor is present to answer questions and discuss the topics. It is fully accepted by the NREMT and is CECBEMS accredited. This is only one of the few online refreshers that meet the actual requirements by the NREMT to be counted as an official refresher. You have 2 years to complete the refresher from the time you sign up (or you can usually get it done in as little as 2 to 3 weeks). The cost of the refresher is $249.
