New Hampshire EMT Course Acceptance and Certification

Q. Can I become a certified and licensed EMT in New Hampshire if I pass the EMT & Fire Training EMT B Course?

A. The state of New Hampshire has an EMS Certification Reciprocity Application that requires the applicant to live in NH and be working or have a job pending in order to apply for an application for reciprocity. In addition the applicant will need to have completed a course that is consistent with the USDOT, and successfully pass the National Registry practical skills exam and the computer based test. Our course follows the USDOT guidelines and we help you prepare and register to take both the practical and written exams with the NREMT.

Q. Does New Hampshire require any extra EMT training that EFT does not provide in its course?

A. No.

Q. How do I recertify for EMS in the State of New Hampshire?

A. New Hampshire follows the National Registry continuing education standards for recertifying at each level.

We offer a refresher that will meet these needs. It is 24 hours, and includes 10 hours of self-directed learning, and 14 hours of Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) sessions where a real instructor is present to answer questions and discuss the topics. It is fully accepted by the NREMT and is CECBEMS accredited. This is only one of the few online refreshers that meet the actual requirements by the NREMT to be counted as an official refresher. You have 2 years to complete the refresher from the time you sign up (or you can usually get it done in as little as 2 to 3 weeks). The cost of the refresher is $249.
