Q. Can I become a licensed EMT in Nebraska if I pass the EMT & Fire Training EMT or AEMT Course?

A. Yes. The state of Nebraska requires that you have passed a DOT course and become nationally certified with the NREMT. Our courses follow the DOT Curriculum and are approved for use in the NREMT Certification Process. Click here to see the application you will use to apply for license in Nebraska.

Q. Does Nebraska require any extra EMT training that EFT does not provide in its course?

A. No.

Q. How do I recertify for EMS in the State of Nebraska?

A. To renew your License in Nebraska you must choose from the following options as listed from Nebraska EMS:

  • Attestation of obtaining Continuing Education hours (See Table A below); or
  • A copy of a current certificate for the appropriate level from National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians; or
  • Verification from the applicant’s service physician medical director or qualified physician surrogate that the applicant is qualified for renewal; or

When it’s time to take your firefighter exam, we have a test prep site that will make testing easier. Our fire fighting questions and study guide are written by a staff of Nationally Certified Firefighters with over 20 years of experience and this experience is included in our examinations. Each question is based upon the NFPA 1001 Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications. This national standard is used by most fire departments to certify at the Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2 levels. http://www.fire-fighter-exam.com/
