This Online Paramedic Refresher course is an interactive, blended-learning course that is CAPCE accredited and approved for NREMT Re-certification.
This Refresher course thoroughly addresses the objectives in the National EMS Education Standards and was designed to meet the specific requirements of the NREMT refresher option for the Paramedic applicant. The course is broken down into 24 Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) sessions. Each session is 2 hours long with the last .5 hour for discussion and quiz taking. Students must attend the scheduled instructor led class sessions (in virtual classroom) and pass all quizzes with a passing score of 80% (You are allowed multiple quiz attempts).
This refresher program is a CAPCE F5 category class. To be able to count this refresher for full NREMT credit you MUST attend all 24 sessions for a total of 48 hours in our online classroom. Please see the NREMT Paramedic Re-certification Form for all requirements.
Test Preparation + Paramedic Refresher for $418.45
This 48 hour course is CAPCE Accredited and NREMT approved. Included are 48 hours of online Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) lectures held in our virtual classroom. Check the Paramedic Refresher Calendar for dates of VILT lectures.
Students must complete each lecture and pass all exams with a score of 80% or better. (Students are allowed multiple exam attempts).
Upon successful completion of the lectures, a certificate of completion will be issued and made available to the student inside the online learning management system. Check the for lecture dates. Each lecture is held multiple times each month.

• Good computer skills. This class is not for those just learning how to navigate the internet.
• High speed internet connection for viewing videos and virtual classroom attendance.
• Headset with microphone IF you intend on asking questions verbally. Headset is NOT required. Questions may be asked via chat.
• A desire to participate and learn.
Attendance will be taken throughout the Paramedic refresher lectures (VILT). If your attendance cannot be verified you will not be given credit for that time.
Each class held in the virtual classroom will consist of a lecture based on the 'Emergency Care in the Streets, 7th edition' by AAOS and will have an assessment exam corresponding to session.
VILT sessions are scheduled for 2 hours with the lectures lasting around 1.5 hours and the last half hour of the session dedicated to question/answer and quiz attempt.
No verbal questions will be permitted until completion of the lecture, however, Instructors will be taking questions via chat at all times. This class format allows students to get questions answered immediately while not stopping the lecture. More refresher material is covered and students can monitor chat questions and answers if they choose.
If you intend on asking verbal questions at the completion of each lecture, you must have headphones and a mic. Using your computers speakers and built in mic is not permitted as they can interfere with each other and may cause inaudible speech and feedback.
Internet connection problems. We understand that issues may arise with connectivity or software during the instructor led lectures in the virtual classroom. If something unforeseen interferes with a students ability to view and or hear the lectures, alternatives arrangements can be made to view the lectures in a different format or at a different time.
