Q. Can I become a certified and licensed EMT in Wyoming if I pass the EMT & Fire Training EMT B Course?
A. Wyoming doesn’t have reciprocity with any other state, program, or National Registry, but if you are Nationally Registered, you can fill out the certification application and take the state exam and become certified and licensed in Wyoming upon approval. If you take our online course you need to let WY know that each of the 40 chapters comes with a lecture by the instructor and you spend 6 days in hands on training at the end. This lets them know that you aren't just left up to learning all of the information on your own.
Q. Does Wyoming require any extra EMT training that EFT does not provide in its course?
A. Wyoming requires a state EMT-Basic Examination regardless of your training or National Certification along with Continuing Education Units.
Q. How do I recertify for EMS in the State of Wyoming?
A. To recertify as an EMT in Wyoming a recertification test must be taken and passed before your recertification is due. If you are NREMT certified, you will still have to take this recertification exam to keep your state certification and take your 24-hour refresher course to renew your NREMT certification. We offer a 24-hour online refresher to meet those needs. The refresher includes 10 hours of self-directed learning, and 14 hours of Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) sessions where a real instructor is present to answer questions and discuss the topics. It is fully accepted by the NREMT and is CECBEMS accredited. This is only one of the few online refreshers that meet the actual requirements by the NREMT to be counted as an official refresher. You have 2 years to complete the refresher from the time you sign up (or you can usually get it done in as little as 2 to 3 weeks). The cost of the refresher is $249. https://www.emtfiretraining.com/emt-b-refresher.php
