NES Scope Chart

The biggest news in EMS for a long time is the transition phase currently underway across the United States. The 1994 DOT National Standard Curriculum is out, and the National EMS Education Standards are in. Trinidad & Tobago Requests EMT Courses
 

EMT & Fire Training Inc. (EFT) has submitted a proposal to provide EMT training to more than 500 first aid providers who currently staff the ambulances in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The plan would call for the future healthcare providers to take the EFT online EMT course and then attend a practical skills week in Trinidad.

September 2011 EMT Class
EMT Class of September, 2011
 

11 students graduated from the September EMT Class. Students came from all over the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, and the Middle East, to complete the hands on portion of the course. One student even hitchhiked 1800 miles from Alaska to the training center in Hayden Lake, Idaho. That is an example of what determination will get you!

13 students graduated from the August EMS Class. Students from as far away as Japan, Iraq and Massachusetts came to complete the hands on portion of the course. These students worked hard late into the night, but the official outcome, once again is that all of the EMT & Fire Training students successfully passed the class.

EMT Class of May, 2011
 

In May, 15 Students came to the EMS Academy. It was hard work, but they all were successful. For this academy, students traveled from as far as New York, Florida and Virginia. In pursuance of something greater, these students showed that they know what it means to be an EMT.

There were 14 Students in attendance at EMT & Fire Training Academy in March. Students came from as far as Illinois, California, Kansas and Pennsylvania. Actions speak louder than words, and these students performed their skills amazingly well and endured the cold weather of North Idaho.
